God knew what he was doing from the very beginning. He decided from the outset to shape the lives of those who love him along the same lines as the life of his Son. The Son stands first in the line of humanity he restored. We see the original and intended shape of our lives there in him.

Romans 8:29 (MSG)

Think of yourselves the way Christ Jesus thought of himself. He had equal status with God but didn’t think so much of himself that he had to cling to the advantages of that status no matter what. Not at all. When the time came, he set aside the privileges of deity and took on the status of a slave, became human! Having become human, he stayed human. It was an incredibly humbling process. He didn’t claim special privileges. Instead, he lived a selfless, obedient life and then died a selfless, obedient death—and the worst kind of death at that—a crucifixion.

Philippians 2:5-8 (MSG)

To follow Christ is to work to become more like Him. Some of the ways we learn to do this is through prayer, worship, Bible study and Christian education.

Below are some of the activities and past and future events that support this area of our Vision.

Ash Wednesday Imposition of Ashes

Following the 6:30am Ash Wednesday Service, Imposition of Ashes will be available to walk-ins from 7:00am until 12:30pm.

Ash Wednesday service

Ash Wednesday Service 6:30am - 7:00am
Imposition of Ashes 7:00am - 12:30pm

Lent is a season of forty days, not counting Sundays, which begins on Ash Wednesday and ends on Holy Saturday. Ash Wednesday emphasizes a dual encounter: we confront our own mortality and confess our sin before God; we focus on the dual themes of sin and death in the light of God’s redeeming love in Jesus Christ.

Men's Breakfast Bible Study

No prior Bible knowledge required!

It's a great group and we'd love to have you join!
