On Friday, October 16, members of Paoli United Methodist Church volunteered at the Chester County Food Bank in Exton, helping pack more than 800 bags of food for schoolchildren!

Food insecurity is not just a problem in distant communities. It is happening right here in Chester County, where 1 in 5 school-age children faces food insecurity, according to the Chester County Food Bank. Behind these numbers are children and families in our own communities who struggle to access the food they need.

Through their time and service, our volunteers helped support the Food Bank's mission of ensuring that our neighbors have access to nutritious food. Earlier this year, our congregation also collected 417 cans of soup for local food banks, including the Chester County Food Bank, through our Souper Bowl collection.

These efforts remind us that serving others is an essential part of our calling as followers of Christ. Whether we give, volunteer, or work together to address the needs of our neighbors, every act of generosity matters.

Thank you to everyone who participated and helped make this ministry possible! Your willingness to serve is a beautiful expression of God's love in action. May we continue finding ways to care for our neighbors and build a community where no one goes hungry.
