The Worship Experience
The goal of worship at Paoli is not to be entertained, but to experience the presence and guidance of God. We seek this in multiple ways—including through music, prayer, and the reading of (and expounding on) the Word.

Laypersons serve as worship leaders, and our Sunday morning services are a cross between traditional and contemporary. We sing both classic hymns and praise songs. We offer prayers of confession, as well as prayers of gratitude and supplication for those among us who are struggling. We share information about our outreach ministries. Sometimes we laugh!
On the first Sunday of each month, we celebrate communion. Our communion table is open to all who believe and want to draw nearer to Christ.
Music

There’s something about beautiful music that draws people closer to God! Which is why music is central to the worship experience at PUMC. We’re blessed with many talented musicians, beginning with Nathan Kendrick, an accomplished pianist and organist and also a frequent soloist. And at least once a month, we’re treated to the inspirational stylings of Rising Son, a five-member praise band of singers, guitarists and a drummer. Rising Son also performs in venues outside of Sunday morning worship, including at our church’s annual car show.
